To foster dialogue among PhD students in music therapy within Europe, Viennese PhD students are excited to organise and host a day of meeting, exchanging, and learning from each other at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) just before the start of EMTC2016. It will be interesting to hear about all the different topics and approaches of current doctoral research across Europe.
Participants: All PhD students currently engaged in music therapy research within Europe and beyond are invited to participate. Participation fee: 25 Euro (including refreshments & lunch), to be paid on-site, in cash.
Preliminary programme: The seminar will provide an opportunity for networking and learning by sharing and discussing different models and contents of PhD programmes across Europe. Participants are invited to present and discuss their doctoral research in oral presentations (20 min talk + 10 min discussion). (It is also possible to participate in the seminar without actively presenting.)
Please sign up for this seminar when registering for the 10th European Music Therapy Conference online at emtc2016.at/#registration.
Please note: PhD students willing to present their work are asked to send an abstract (200-300 words) to one of the Viennese PhD students, Leslie Schrage-Leitner: Schrage-Leitner@mdw.ac.at by March 01, 2016.
